A Retractable in House Open Stairwell Cover U.S. Patent #6,739,100

Thank you for visiting my new Internet site.  I am building this site to bring awareness to my patent for consideration within the manufacturing industry, for development and production of my product! I am looking to either sell my patent or licence the patent rights!

My patent is a stairwell cover adapted to seal a stairwell opening such as between a first floor living space, in residential home construction, and a basement, when the basement is not in use.

It includes a housing mounted to a wall partition above the base of the stairs, a retractable cover rotatably mounted in the housing, and a pair of roller rails extending along the sidewalls of the stairwell. Along which the cover rolls for movement between a retracted position, providing access to the basement, and an extended position closing off the basement at the top of the stairwell

If you are not familiar with my patent and your first contact with me is online: I would be pleased to hear from you! Please let me know what your needs and questions are, I will be more than happy to help. However serious inquiries only please!

In brief, you should know the following benefits my product can provide: The most important aspect of my invention is the potential energy savings for residential consumers in the amount of energy dollars saved per month that can be realized in home heating and cooling cost. Due to heat and cooling losses from homes constructed with an open stairwell within the homes living space! Which I believe would be signifcant, due in part to the differences in the two environments, ie; a basement environment, and the first floor living space environment, especially in the northern climates!

During my research into the development of my invention it became apparent to me that all new construction being developed in this country within the last decade or so thru the present day, is built in such a way that the basement stairwell opening is positioned within the first floor living space!
